Hi, I’m Amelia Birch, an artist, designer, and storyteller with an interdisciplinary background that bridges fine art, communication, and creative writing. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies at Brigham Young University–Idaho, I specialize in Communication and Design with additional focus areas in Fine Art and Creative Writing. My goal is to combine creativity, empathy, and technical skill to design meaningful, imaginative work that connects with people of diverse backgrounds.
I’ve explored creativity in many forms—whether through photography, digital art, and visual storytelling, or through traditional fine arts and writing. Most recently, I worked as a Photography & Digital Art Counselor at TIC Summer Camp, where I taught students photography fundamentals, Adobe Photoshop, and project development. I’ve also managed my own local business as a solo proprietor, where I learned the importance of organization, client communication, and balancing creativity with practical skills.
Outside of visual art and design, I’ve had diverse hands-on experiences, from working in veterinary science and animal care to teaching as a swim instructor to ensuring safety as a lifeguard. Each of these roles has shaped my ability to lead, teach, and create safe, engaging spaces for others. Along the way, I’ve developed strong skills in mentoring, organization, and creative problem-solving.
My leadership and dedication to learning have been recognized through membership in the National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, and Tri-M Honor Society, as well as through consistently excelling in advanced coursework. I’m also a lifelong musician and violinist, which continues to influence how I see rhythm, flow, and emotion in my artwork.
At the heart of everything I do is a love of creativity and connection. Whether it’s guiding friends and colleagues through a project, designing a piece of digital art, writing a story, or capturing the details of the world through a camera lens, I’m passionate about using my skills to inspire others and bring ideas to life.
When I’m not immersed in my work, you’ll often find me sketching, editing photos, writing creatively, or exploring nature with my camera in hand. I believe the world, while messy, is full of beauty worth capturing and sharing—and I aim to reflect that in all my work.
Also, here's my lovely dog, Luna.
